"that dog is a gay homosexual."
nothing like southpark to perpetuate gay stereotypes and push gay acceptance at the same time. i love that show.

random thought #1:
i'm halfway through my reporting week from hell.
i'm somewhat enjoying my stint on the business desk, but i don't like the uncertainty of it. while almost every job in (daily) newspapers is uncertain, reporting is the most uncertain. you're dependent on other people to tell you stuff and if they don't feel like talking to you, then you have to find someone to talk to you.
and oh yeah, you have to do all of that on deadline.
editing is so much better b/c:
a. your schedule is much more solid. the only person that you are dependent on (for the most part) is yourself.
b. you don't have to get people to talk to you. on the record.
this story that i will now have been working on for 3 days damn well better be kick ass when i leave tomorrow. and i better leave at a reasonable hour tomorrow b/c i will not miss my own birthday dinner.
random thought #2:
my blog design is indefinitely on hold. i'm a lazy ass.
random thought #3:
this story was funny and sad at the same time.
a man in a wig that drives (and lives) in a car he calls "air ford one" running for illinois senator? hilarious.
mike ditka running for illinois senator? funny.
alan keyes running for illinois senator? sad.
hell, almost all black republicans are sad. i mean, i've heard the arguments. but no matter what, i do not see how any self-respecting black person can say they're a republican. no matter how much the democratic party neglects the black vote (and they do), they are still closer to ideas that support black people. the republican party, or rather, bush's republican party doesn't care about any brown people (black, hispanic, asian, native american and all inbetween).

the ku has been wearing my nerves today. i'm at my wits end about what to do about her.
random thought #5:
this new blog (well it's not new, but it's new to me!) is kick ass. this guy's a very good writer, is funny, spent some time in dc and has a very interesting blog.
random thought #6:
southpark kicks ass. i'll leave you with some southpark quotes:
"now go play football like a good homosexual."
my mom says god hates homosexuals. that's why they smoked the sodomies in .. france."
"oh no it's the oppressors! christians, republicans and nazis oh my!"
"stan, you really need to lay off the cough syrup dude. seriously. i'm worried about you."
"wow it looks like i don't have a class full of retards anymore, huh does it kids?"
"i just wanted to be your friend, but you couldn't look past my religion and do that. you've got a lot of growing up to do stan. suck my balls."
